All are welcome at His Place, we are a church for the community where you will find a family atmosphere.
We are a church with a global community where we are all members of the family of God. Our fellowship has representatives from United Kingdom, Ghana, Iran, Turkey, Eastern Europe.
We have members who have and have come through addiction and homelessness. We have members who have mental health and learning disability diagnosis, but nothing separates us, we are one family and worship, have fun, and serve the lord together.
Our congregation even bring their dogs, so nothing will cause a barrier to our congregation meeting to worship and praise the lord.

At His Place we believe that we are all equal and that everyone has gifts and ministry, and Jesus is our CEO.
We do not employ our ministryteam as we all have a servant heart and a calling to the ministry at His Place, and all profits are put back into the running of the service and the restoration of the building which is at risk. Meet The Team
Children are seen and heard, and regardless of age, we are all children of God and encouraged to serve the lord, ascertain what gifts he has given us and supported to use the gifts we have been given.
We host a variety of fellowship meetings and welcome visitors and passers-by. There is always a warm welcome.
His Place provides not only a church but a community centre and everyone who attends is part of the His Place Family. People coming asking for sanctuary, support, or a safe place to sit and recover from their troubled thoughts, or anxieties, will be supported to do so.

HIS PLACE VISION:

Our vision is to transform the lives and hearts of people in our community, as they have opportunity to gain a relationship with Jesus. Help them to grow in their friendship with God and turn their lives to Him and join the global family of Christ.

Statement Of Faith:

The Scriptures known as the Bible, are the inspired word of God, the infallible and all-sufficient rule for faith and practice. This statement of fundamental Truths is not intended as a creed for the church, but as a basis of a full Gospel Ministry (1 Cor 1:10)

We Believe that the Bible is the inspired word of God. (2 Tim 3:15-16; 2 Peter 1:21)

We Believe in the unity of the One True and Living God who is the Eternal, Self-Existent “I AM” who has also revealed Himself as One Being in Three Persons – Father, Son and Holy Spirit. (Deut 6:4; Mark 12:29; Matt 28:19)

We Believe in the Virgin Birth, Sinless life, Miraculous Ministry, Substitutionary Atoning Death, Bodily Resurrection, Triumphant Ascension and Abiding Intercession of the Lord Jesus Christ and in his Premillennial Second Advent as the blessed hope set before all believers. (Isa 7:14; Matt 1:23; Heb 7:26; 1 Peter 2:22; Acts 2:22; 10:38; 2 Cor 5:21; Heb 9:12 Luke 24:39; 1 Cor 15:14; Acts 1:9; Eph 4:8 – 10; Rom 8:34; Heb 7:25; 1 Cor 15: 22-24; 1 Cor 15:51-57; 1 Thess 4:13-18; Rev 1-6)

We Believe in the fall of man, who as created pure and upright, fell by voluntary transgression. (Gen 1:26-31; 3:1 -7; Rom 5:12 – 21)

We Believe in salvation through faith in Jesus Christ who died for our sins accordingly to the scriptures, was buried and was raised from among the dead on the third day according to the Scriptures, and through His Blood we have Redemption. (Titus 2:11; 3:5-7; Rom 10:8-15; 1 Cor 15:3-4)

This experience is also known as the New Birth, and in an instantaneous and complete operation of the Holy Spirit upon initial faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. (John 3:5-6; James 1:18; 1 Peter 1:23; 1 John 5:1)

We Believe that Baptism by immersion in water is enjoyed upon all who have really repented and have truly believed with all their hearts in Christ as Saviour and Lord. (Matt 28:19; Acts 10:47 - 48; Act 2;38-39)

We Believe that the Gifts of the Holy Spirit and the Offices have been set by God in Church, as recorded in the New Testament. (1 Cor 12:4 – 11, 28; Eph 4:7-16)

We Believe in Holiness of life and conduct in obedience to the command of God “Be ye holy as I Am Holy” (1 Pet 1:14-16; Heb 12:14; 1 Thess 5:23; 1 John 2:6; 1 Cor 13)

We Believe that deliverance from sickness, by Divine Healing, is provided for in the Atonement. (Isa 53:4-5; Matt 8:16 -17; James 5:13-16)

We Believe that breaking of bread is enjoyed upon all believers until the Lord comes. (Luke 22:14-20; 1 Cor 11:20 – 34)

We Believe in the everlasting conscious bliss of all who truly believe in our Lord Jesus Christ and that everlasting conscious punishment is the portion of all whose names are not written in the Book of Life. (Dan 12:2-3; Matt25:46; 2 Thess 1:9; Rev 10 – 15)

Pastoral support:

If you require prayer or pastoral support you are welcome to call or email or message us through Facebook, we will not judge, we will not turn you away.
We will provide help. It is not always possible to meet up instantly and therefore sometimes the prayer support will occur over the phone. If you  require practical support we will signpost and  help find the appropriate organisation if we are unable to support you through our outreach support service.

Outreach support service:

The outreach support service provides the following support when requested and booked through the church, café, or email.
An appropriate person or team is peered up to provide support for the task required. If the person requesting help is unable to attend the venue, then a consent form is taken out by the outreach team for the person to sign before support being given. Alternative consent confirmation is through text or email. Where possible all communication re accessing and accepting support is through email or text as it is recordable. Your information is stored safely under GDPR protocols and your information is never shared or sold. As this support is provided by volunteers we are not always able to attend without some notice as we have to fit it around their availability. We are aware of other free support services who we can signpost to if required.

Services:

Small maintenance or mending jobs such as changing lightbulbs, hanging curtains, mending clothing and light gardening.
Support to make phone calls to council or utilities in the event of difficulties and you require support to make the phone call. If the community member is unable to explain clearly, they can  write down the problem and the outreach worker will read word for word on their behalf ,and then the community member will confirm with the customer services worker that what has been said is accurate.
Support to write letters to organisations if required, support to access grants for hardship, furniture etc.

Support through prayer if required off site will require two outreach workers to be present.  If female requiring support, we aim to provide 2 female workers or if required a male and female with the community persons consent in advance and chat over phone to introduce, workers to wear ID badges at all time when on outreach work. For attending a male’s house rather than them attending the venue we send a male outreach worker. Please note we do not give money to individuals. We run a voucher scheme in the café where vouchers  can be brought and if a homeless person comes requesting a meal or a drink we can support them that way.

The church uses the following ministries to achieve our vision, mission, and values.
Worship.

The church (the born-again believers / people) exists to worship God. Worship is in essence expressing our love to God (Matt 22:37).

Ministry.

The church exists to minister to people. Ministry is all work the Church does for the good of the whole Church (community) (Matt 22:38).

Evangelism.

The church exists to share the message of Jesus. Evangelism is taking the message of eternal life to the world whether that means thousands of miles or across the street. (Mark 16:15).

Fellowship.

The church exists to provide fellowship. Fellowship is about coming together to help, build up and share with each other. Providing a safe harbour from the storms of life. (Acts 2:42).

The church exists to build up God’s people. A disciple wants to be just like his master it’s the church job to help people become spiritual mature and grounded in God’s word and living it out (Matt 28:19).
